Jennifer Agnew, MD, Colorectal Surgeon
Jennifer Agnew, MD is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care to the New York City and Long Island communities.
Prior to embarking on her surgical career, Dr. Agnew earned a Bachelor of Science, with minors in chemistry and theatre arts, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College, and completed a general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York, serving as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Agnew's surgical training continued in NY, where she completed her colon and rectal surgery fellowship at North Shore University Hospital-Long Island Jewish/Northwell Health System. Her specialized training afforded her experience in abdominal colon and rectal surgery, as well as comprehensive management of complex anal and rectal disease.

. In addition, she performs minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopic, robotic and transanal surgery.
Striving to be at the forefront of surgical innovation, Dr. Agnew has conducted clinical research within her field and has authored several peer-reviewed publications. She has been invited to present her research at local and regional colon and rectal surgical society meetings, and has given podium presentations at the national conference of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons discussing her research.
Outside of work, Dr. Agnew enjoys theatre, travel and music.
