So I am a part of the colorectal surgery team at CRSSNY and I joined the team in 2019, after finishing my fellowship in colon and rectum surgery. The reason I wanted to become a surgeon was, in medical school, I realized that in addition to my interest in human sciences, I had deep interest in learning the role of technology and innovation in helping manage diseases. For the colorectal surgery, all these modalities are best applied in this specialty and that's why I decided to become further specialized in colorectal surgery. I strive for the excellence in patient care. One of the most rewarding cases in this field for me has been a cancer patient, we were able to observe his bowel function by using the new technology like robot surgery. And the patient was really grateful for that. Typically, I see from the patients we've treated is their happiness with the results of their surgery, that they were able to return to their function, return to their daily lives. They were able to maintain their quality of life, their jobs, and they are generally very grateful for these.
